American cars have a great history and the golden era of US cars, in my view, was from 1950 to 1980. During this period the American dream was alive and house hold disposable incomes were rising. Detroit was the center of the world and attracted some of the most talented designers in the world.

During these years, iconic cars such as the corvette, were born. Designers were obsessed with the coming space age of humanity and the common American had the impression that the US will conquer the moon in few decades. Huge space ship like cars haven been produced, which were a perfect mirror of the society and its attitude.

However in 1976 Cadillac presented its customers with Caddie Seville, a much shorter and smaller version of the Elvis Presley pink Caddies. The car was introduced as an international size car, that has agility and space, combined with the high end luxury of a Caddie.

The 1976 Seville had not only a different shape and design, but it also came with state of the art technology on board, making it the most efficient and fascinating car of 1976.

The car was so popular, that the famous design house Gucci made a 1978 Gucci version. Interiors and the car paint would decently reflect its special character.

Today, this model is still tenio on the streets and is driven by old men and young enthusiasts.

A good well preserved model can cost up to 10,000 USD, with prices rising.
